The angled wheel of the follow focus makes a direct connection to the focus ring of your lens, turning it via friction. This simple setup eliminates the need for gear rings. The adjustable focus wheel is compatible with almost any lens. The baseplate attaches to your camera and accepts either a 1/4"-20 or a 3/8"-16 stud for a convenient connection to any tripod or head. You can adjust the front-to-back positioning of the follow focus by sliding it along the standard 15mm rods, which are 9" long.
